Westchester County Sanitary Code Amendment
NOTICE is hereby given that the Westchester County Board of Health shall conduct a public hearing at 9 a.m. on the 20th day of March 2025, at the second floor offices of the Westchester County Department of Health located at 10 County Center Road, White Plains, New York, with regard to proposed amendments as follows (Draft changes are underlined) :

  • Article XII, 873.1203, Aquatic Supervision and Safety of Swimming Pools, Spa Pools and Wading Pools and
  • Article XII, 873.1204-1206, relating to the acquisition, maintenance and operation of automatic external defibrillators at bathing beaches and swimming pools, not including home pools, along with corresponding new definitions in section 873.101.
  • and Rescinding Article XII, 873.431, Food Service Establishment: Construction

Copies of the proposed changes to Article XII of the Westchester County Sanitary Code are available for review and inspection at www.westchestergov.com/health.

Testimony should not exceed three (3) minutes and will be scheduled in the order in which requests are received. Written comments regarding the proposed amendment to Article XII of the Westchester County Sanitary Code will be accepted through Tuesday April 15, 2025.

The Westchester County Sanitary Code, Chapter 873 of the Local Laws of Westchester and the New York State Sanitary Code, Chapter 1, consist of laws enforced by the Westchester County Board of Health and the Westchester County Department of Health to assure the health of the public.
